PDF tickets are a go!

jacojoubert jacojoubert Comments

Earlier today we started sending PDF tickets to attendees.

Until now we had sent out “tickets” in the form of html emails. This caused some confusion because it wasn’t clear whether users were expected to print the email and bring it with them. Also, our emails don’t print very well. We make extensive use of color and images which don’t really jazz with most printers.

Today we address those issues.

We will continue to send the same ticket email as before, but now we also attach a PDF ticket that the user can print. It comes with a QR code to help prevent ticket fraud and add that extra touch of professionalism. And because events are fundamentally about people we also show a photo of the attendee if one is available.
